The Canary islands provide year round sun and fun. From the lively resorts of Tenerife and Gran Canaria to the unmatched beauty of La Palma. Fuertevetura is a haven for water sport enthusiasts. Lanzarote is famed for its stunning beaches and extraordinary volcanic landscapes of Timanfaya Park. Nature lovers will particularly enjoy the unspoilt islands of La Gomera and Hierro.
On the mainland you can choose from the chic sophistication of Marbella to family fun in Benidorm, for culture and coast the city of Alicante has it all. Thirteen of Spain’s cities are world Heritage sites that are protected by UNESCO. World heritage cities include, Tarragona, Segovia, Salamanca, Ávila, Cáceres, Mérida, Córdoba, Toledo, Éivissa, San Critobal de la Laguna, Alcalá de Henares, Cuenca and Santiago de Compostela.
Wherever you find yourself in Spain make sure you try the region’s specialties be it the cider from Asturias, the finest seafood from the bay of Biscay, suckling pig and roast meats in Castilla-La Mancha and Castilla y Leon, Gazpaco in Andalucia, jabugo ham in Huelva, or buttifara in Catalonia and of course not forgetting the wonderful wines of Rioja, Priorato, Ribera del Duero and Penedés.
